Demo reels are sometimes the first introduction for an actor to have the chance at a potential cast position with a director, producer or casting director. Because you never get a second chance at a first impression, your demo reel needs to present you with your best performances in the shortest possible time. No gimmicks, no eye candy, no home movies, just solid performances with professional quality images and audio in about 2 to 3 minutes, sometimes in only a minute.
David Pinkston has been a professional cinematographer and freelance editor for Take One Cinema since 1980. He has a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Vermont College of Fine Arts. He work includes features, industrials, commercials and PSAs and has worked as a director, cinematographer, producer and editor.
